What makes a good golf blog?
Recently I was asked this question (and more) by the folks over at Leaderboard Golf, a new website aiming to be "the authority for golf online."
Although the number of golf blogs has greatly expanded since Golf for Beginners hit the internet back in 2004, I believe that all memorable golf blogs have certain commonalities: they question what they read/see and hear, offer you an opinion and make you want to comment. Isn't that what blogging is all about?
Check out the new Leaderboard Golf website and feel free to click on the Stacy Solomon: Golf for Beginners Interview where you'll also find out about my favorite professional golfing moment and my goals for 2011!
Most people who read Golf for Beginners and connect with me via Twitter and Facebook, also know that I utilize social media and believe that this growing medium is changing the way business is conducted on the internet.
In the premier issue of 914Inc Magazine, I offer up two easy ways to attract followers on Twitter. Dave Donelson, author of five books including his most recent novel, Heart of Diamonds, also discusses the benefits of Facebook and LinkedIn as integral parts of a saavy marketers online presence.

A hearty thank you to both Leaderboard Golf, @Leaderboard on Twitter and to Dave Donelson who is both on Facebook and on Twitter as @TheDynamicMgr.

Well I guess you should consider being very patient to newsbies because I think I have so many questions.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind answering your questions...go ahead, ask me!
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy, nice post and I love your blog. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeletegolf, you use a lot of your time looking at the yardage markers and sprinkler heads on the occasion of your game? It can be very frustrating, and it could seriously slow your game down. There is a great and simple solution to this. You can have the front, middle and back numbers for all the greens and you too will know the exact distance to the goal of avoiding any risk of tees on every hole. Just turn the GolfLogix GPS powered by the world leader Garmin, and you'll all distances without having to touch the buttons.
ReplyDeleteInteresting I am going to check out leaderboard golf right now. I haven't heard of it before but thank you for bringing it to my attention.
ReplyDeleteHey Stacie, it looks like you have some great information. Golf blogs are great for golfers. The blogs keep them informed on what to look out for, great courses, and where the action is. I just started to try out dryer climate courses. I find that Las Vegas Golf and Arizona Golf fits my needs. The environments are amazing to look at and the humidity is usually low. Thanks for your post.
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend for sharing this wonderful work and I will tell you right now that I am very impressed with the work that you are doing thanks.

Yes, your site looks to be a great resource. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteActually I misread the title of this post at first glance...thought it read: Best Golf Bags, but Best Golf Blogs works, too. :)
Actually, my husband was invited to a golfing bachelor party next month. This party is actually going to be his first Las Vegas golf vacation. I'm hoping he behaves. But, this gives me some time free from him, too. Wonder if he'll worry about whether I'll behave while he's away. ;)
Great blog. Thanks!
I found lots of interesting information here. The post was professionally written and I feel like the author has extensive knowledge in this subject.
