Big Break III - Felicia, say hello to Tasha!

I had a feeling that Felicia would be the next golfer off the show. She talked a good talk, but that's not all there is. She couldn't come through under pressure. Hey, Felicia, I'll golf with you anytime!
And, cheers to Westchester Pam! Nice EAGLE! The first in your career? C'mon...
What about Cindy? She doesn't seem as confident as I thought she'd be, especially since she was on the LPGA Tour in the 70's. Okay, 30 years have passed, but I guarantee that Cindy (as well as the rest of the ladies) practice ALOT!
Danielle did reasonably well this week, of course being pretty and having a terrific impact position help her - we'll keep you around Danielle - good going!
BUT, could Debbie Dahmer be the overall champ? Seems like a possibility to to me. Of course, Debbie picked up golf around 28, and I didn't pick up a club until the year 2000!
It's only my 5th year on a golf course and I'm now drilling my drives from the white tees! You should be seeing me on the Big Break V...

Here's my golf pic...a reminder of what it was like to play golf in Myrtle Beach. Usually, my husband and I play golf on the publinks, so this is truly a rarity!

Okay, I just realized that when you post a blog on Flickr, it automatically sends the blog to blogspot...hmmm...quite interesting! I'm going to have to find more pics!

Well, since I'm here, I'll say that although I understand the PGA's ruling about the Nissan Open, I'm disappointed. I watched the playoff this morning, Adam Scott against Chad Campbell. Too bad for Chad, but, those are the breaks!

WOW! No Golf until Sunday!

I can't believe that I'm sitting here, blogging about golf but the PGA Tour cancelled golf until Sunday! Too much rain...And, how about that Retief Goosen! If I had a job like HIS, I would NEVER be late! I mean, he's number 5 in the world rankings (toppled by Phil Mickelson...HA, HA!) and he doesn't show up for a Pro-Am!

And, what about Annika getting all that heat just because she decided to get a divorce! She got about as much hype as Jennifer Aniston or the break up of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez! Geez, give me a break!

Back to the Tour...If Tiger makes it to 4th place or better this week at the Nissan Open, he'll climb to numero uno in the world golf rankings. Well, lets see, no other top player is playing this week, except for Mike Weir who has a hot putter...so the only one that can beat Tiger this week is? You guessed it! TIGER!!
And, what about that goatee! Usually, people grow facial hair to cover up some sort of recessed chin or upper lip probem...putting a goatee there on PURPOSE is kind of lame...especially because you're BORED, TIGER...tsk, tsk..
YOU DON't NEED THE GOATEE, TIGER! Clean shaven is the way to go!

Visualization for Golf Beginners

By Stacy@golf-for-beginners.com - my first posting, hope you like it!

Golf beginners who are truly interested in the sport eat,
drink and sleep golf.

I must be a golf beginner because I can't wait until Thursday.
What's so important about Thursday, you ask?
Well, Thursday is the start of another golf weekend for the PGA Tour (okay, I must admit I watch whatever tour is on TV at the time...it doesn't matter if it's the Champions Tour or the European Tour
...JUST GIVE ME MORE GOLF!)

And, I notice that most golfers have a favorite on the PGA Tour.
I personally cheer weekly for Phil Mickelson. Being an underdog
in a sport where Tiger is "top dog" helps my decision, but I'm also a lefty
and Phil's swing is one of the nicest to visualize when I'm at the driving range.

The thought of visualizing a particular golfer's swing is important when you get out to the golf course. I picture Mickelson's swing because of the fluidity of his tempo.
In my mind I BELIEVE that my swing looks and feels like Mickelson's, which gives me that all important CONFIDENCE I NEED to swing away.

My web site is PACKED with information about Golf Swing Tips, all important Golf Etiquette and Instruction. All for free!
I hope you enjoy it!
